What the Armory Is For
Your next weapon upgrade may depend on equipment you already own. This Dominus Gladiatus Armory guide explains how to manage that gear and turn unwanted items into coins without accidentally planning around the wrong sale menu. The important distinction is simple: the Armory handles equipment, while the updated Dominus tab handles selling gladiators.
The developer added an equipment Sell tab to the Armory in the August 30 demo update. A later September 17 update moved gladiator selling out of the Armory and into its own Dominus tab. That makes older videos useful for understanding inventory management, but potentially misleading when they show where to sell a fighter.
The official Dominus Gladiatus update history documents both changes. The guidance here follows those updates and distinguishes them from older demo player experience.
Check Equipped Gear Before Selling Spares
Start with the gladiator equipment screen. Check what your intended arena fighters are actually wearing and which weapons they are using before deciding that an item is surplus. The August 30 update also added the ability to unequip an item directly from that screen.
Use this order when cleaning up:
- Inspect the equipment on your next arena entrants.
- Decide whether a replaced item can improve a reserve fighter.
- Unequip gear you intend to remove from a fighter.
- Review the unwanted equipment in the Armory Sell tab.
- Check the displayed sale value before committing.
A backup weapon can be worth keeping if you expect to recruit another fighter. Conversely, keeping every obsolete item while you cannot afford a needed upgrade leaves useful money tied up in inventory. Compare those needs rather than treating every spare as either essential or disposable.
Use Equipment Sales to Close a Funding Gap
Demo player experience from BaronVonGames includes selling an older shield and trident to help fund equipment before the tournament final. That demonstrates a practical use for the Armory: raising the last few coins needed for a purchase, rather than selling a trained gladiator just because the treasury is short.
Do not copy the exact amounts in that recording into a current price list. The developer rebalanced equipment prices and resale values, and subsequent updates continued changing the game's economy. Read the value offered by your own game.
Before selling, identify the purchase you want to make and the amount you are missing. Then check whether the sale would remove gear that another active fighter still needs. Selling a spare shield is a different decision from leaving your only replacement fighter unequipped.
Keep Fighter Sales Separate
Selling a gladiator removes a member of your roster. Selling equipment removes an item. Those decisions belong to different plans, especially before a team battle that requires more than one fighter.
The August 19 update specifies that equipped items return to the Armory when a gladiator is sold. That lets you reuse the equipment, but it does not preserve the gladiator's training or solve a shortage of fighters. Check your next match's required lineup before making a roster sale.
If an older walkthrough directs you to the Armory to sell a gladiator, use the later Dominus-tab arrangement instead. Likewise, a rival's offer to buy one of your fighters is not the same transaction as selling an unwanted weapon from inventory.
FAQ
Can I sell equipment in Dominus Gladiatus?
Yes. The developer added a Sell tab to the Armory in the August 30 update and adjusted equipment sale values at the same time.
Where do I sell gladiators now?
The September 17 update moved gladiator selling to a dedicated Dominus tab. Older Armory instructions for selling people are outdated.
What happens to a sold gladiator's equipment?
The official updates state that equipped items return to the Armory. Inspect that inventory before buying replacements for another fighter.
Should I sell every weapon I replace?
Not automatically. First check whether the old weapon can equip a reserve or a new recruit, then compare that use with the coins offered for selling it.
